BRADFORD ST GEORGE PRE SEASON DO

Well where do I start at the beginning I suppose. Its here again and it doesn't seem two minutes since the last one, but all the usual suspects in our club meet early in witherspoons. (cheap beer, we are tight Yorkshire men ) to have a couple of sherberts, before we had to jog across the road to the ice rink to prepare for the do. Those of you who haven't been before the do is in a room above Bradford's ice rink and believe me you need a drink after climbing all the stairs, but it's worth it once you get there. Anyway 8oclock came in no time and the first people started to arrive they kept coming and coming and in no time the place was swinging. They came in their thousands (well maybe not ) but a couple of hundred at least. Attended by some of the top scooter clubs in Yorkshire, Gemini sc, Knights of the Road, Shipley Bulldogs, Millennium sc, Yorkshire rd runners, Bradford Discharge and even beyond Worksop lions and Salford Knights. Sorry if I have forgot any other clubs that turned up. We are getting a bit of a reputation for putting on good do's and once you have been you are sure to come again and if you haven't been make sure you attend the next one you will not be disappointed. All these people and the bar staff were fantastic (well I didn't have any trouble getting served) and I didn't hear anyone else moan either. The music was spun by top rally dj Dukesy and he kept the dance floor full all night and that is not easy in it's self but he knows what we like. Thanks once again Dukesy and not forgetting your better half Julie (sorry about the parking ticket) Midnight came around and it was time to hand out the trophy's and do the raffle . I will start with the trophys has I can just about remember that, both were won by the Worksop lions for best turned out and furthest travelled ( well done to you all ) Next up was the raffle and without the wife's and girlfriends we would have been lost, they did a excellent job selling all the tickets thanks girls. Now don't ask me who won the prizes cause I cant even remember my name after midnight, but I am sure there was some happy people with the little bags of treasure that were handed out ( thanks Michelle ) A couple of pressure drops later (club anthem and we are not changing it to Amarillo Andy) and time has crept up it is 3:00am and time to say goodbye. A lot of hugs and kisses (this is just the men) I meant the women then we all headed home to bed, safe in the knowledge we had once again had a fantastic time Here's to the next one.

Regards Simmi and the boys
